The Buffalo Bills are sitting pretty at 3-0 to start the season, and quarterback Josh Allen has a good deal to do with that success. The MVP-winning quarterback is already clocking impressive numbers and making a statement as he tries to take this franchise all the way.
Now, Allen is getting respect in the NFL. Not that he didn’t have it before, but it’s continuing for the 2026-27 season.
In a piece for CBS Sports, Garrett Podell ranks each of the NFL’s quarterbacks going into Week 4. “A quarterback’s resume and their performance throughout the season, not just week to week, are parts of the formula used by yours truly to concoct these rankings,” he says.
Josh Allen remains among the NFL’s top quarterbacks
He has Allen at No. 4 on this tally. While that’s good, he’s actually down three spots from last week because of turnovers.
“Josh Allen and the Bills’ offense were stuck in the mud for much of the day in their 24-16 win over the now 0-3 Los Angeles Chargers,” he notes in the piece. “The team committed five turnovers with Allen responsible for three of them (two interceptions and a lost fumble).”
But, here’s where the good stuff starts. Per Podell, Allen is the very first player in NFL history with five-plus passing touchdowns and five-plus rushing touchdowns through the first three games of a season. “That’s good enough to remain in the top four,” he says.
So, Allen has some things to work on. But, overall, the Bills’ fanbase has nothing to complain about yet.
