As with every NFL season, there are ups and downs. Look no further than the Baltimore Ravens for evidence. They’ve had highs and lows, peaks and valleys. Well, at least they aren’t boring, right?
Here’s the most intriguing part. It’s Week 4. We have 14 more games of this. The Ravens haven’t always played their cleanest football, but they’ve found ways to remain in the AFC North conversation while working through injuries, defensive inconsistencies, and offensive growing pains.
That adversity has also created opportunities. Some players have seen their roles expand because of circumstance. Others have taken advantage of chances that weren’t guaranteed at the start of the season. A few are simply gaining confidence at exactly the right time as Baltimore prepares for an important Week 4 matchup with the Tennessee Titans.
The Ravens will continue leaning on stars such as Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Kyle Hamilton, and Zay Flowers. Championships, however, often hinge on the supporting cast. As Baltimore enters another pivotal week, several Ravens appear to be carrying positive momentum. Here are three who come to mind almost immediately.
Chris Moore, wide receiver
Several Ravens are trending in the right direction as Baltimore prepares for Tennessee. Chris Moore’s 2026 season has been building toward this moment for several weeks.
What began with steady contributions eventually led to a promotion and a spot on the active roster, and in Brazil he delivered his biggest play yet, hauling in his first touchdown since returning to Baltimore. The veteran continues rewarding the coaching staff’s trust whenever his number is called.
Let’s keep the expectations realistic. Moore won’t command the same volume of touches as Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers, or other featured offensive weapons. What he has shown, however, is an ability to maximize limited opportunities.
That reliability has value. As the Ravens continue searching for offensive consistency, Moore is becoming someone Lamar Jackson can trust when the ball comes his way.
Tyler Loop, kicker
Few Ravens players entered the season facing more questions than Tyler Loop. The memory of his missed field goal in Week 18 last season lingered throughout the offseason, and a shaky preseason did little to quiet concerns.
Every kicker eventually faces the same question: Can he deliver when the pressure is highest? Loop answered that question in Brazil. His game-winning field goal provided one of the defining moments of Baltimore’s season so far and offered the type of confidence boost that can change the trajectory of a young kicker’s career. He earned AFC Player of the Week honors for his effort.
The kick won’t erase every concern, but it proved something important to both the Ravens and their fan base. When the game was on the line, Loop delivered.
Vega Ioane, offensive line
At the time of this story’s publication, the Ravens have not officially named a starting center for Week 4. Even so, it feels increasingly likely that Vega Ioane will be part of the solution.
After injuries sidelined both Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic, Ioane was thrust into action during one of the season’s most critical moments. The rookie handled the transition remarkably well, helping Baltimore finish a dramatic victory while showcasing the versatility coaches have praised since training camp. Now comes the next challenge.
Emergency appearances and spot duty are one thing. Holding down the position over an extended stretch is something entirely different. Still, the early signs are encouraging. Jesse Minter has praised Ioane’s flexibility, Derrick Henry has applauded his readiness, and the rookie himself has embraced the challenge.
If Week 3 was his introduction, Week 4 could be the beginning of a much larger role. Baltimore’s stars will determine how far the Ravens go this season, but teams rarely reach their goals without unexpected contributors emerging along the way.
Moore has become a dependable target, Loop appears to have gained confidence from a career-defining kick, and Ioane suddenly finds himself in position to become one of the offense’s most important pieces. If all three continue building on their recent performances, the Ravens may have discovered a few additional reasons for optimism heading into October.
