Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin has launched a public relations campaign to win back immigration hardliners who believe he is soft on deportations.

The department has faced growing backlash from conservative activists demanding faster enforcement across the nation.

Official social media accounts for the agency increased mentions of deportations by fifty percent over recent months.

Addressing the internal pressure, an administration official explained the intentional shift toward aggressive messaging.

Highlighting this strategy, the official stated, “Mullin is very concerned about the criticism, so the effort to hammer stats and ‘tough talk’ is intentional”.

During an interview at the Republican convention, Mullin defended his record while acknowledging party demands.

Reflecting on voter expectations, Mullin stressed, “our base wants mass deportation”.

However, conservative critics remain skeptical of the official figures released by the administration.

Pointing out contradictions in government messaging, former Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino questioned recent naturalization announcements.

Addressing the naturalization reports, Bovino noted, “When you get up there and boast about naturalizing 900,000 individuals while you’re supposed to be in the middle of the biggest mass deportation campaign in history, that runs counter to each other”.

Other former officials also dismissed the recent public relations push as simple political posturing.

Summarizing the agency output, former enforcement chief Mark Morgan remarked, “It’s all PR”.
